Wilmer Medina Oseguera, a junior at Bernards High School, has been recognized by the school as the “Everyday Hero” for June!
Nominees for the monthly Everyday Hero Program are students who have a positive influence on the student body through exemplary qualities. Selected students inspire others, are responsible and respectable and have a commitment to peers and the school community. Students are nominated by one or more teachers, selected by the Everyday Hero committee and announced schoolwide by either Principal Scott Neigel, or Assistant Principal Mike Corbett.
Wilmer Medina Oseguera’s teachers describe him as incredibly kind and hard-working. He has a natural curiosity and a deep personal motivation to learn. Wilmer always works to his utmost potential and encourages and inspires his peers to do the same. When given a difficult assignment, Wilmer asks for help and collaborates with teachers and peers to ensure that his work meets and exceeds expectations. He actively seeks out opportunities to better himself, and continually radiates positivity. You will always see a smile on his face; even when faced with difficult days, Wilmer shines through and through. His upbeat attitude, and eagerness to conquer any challenge that comes his way, inspires all who cross his path to want to do the same.
