Tyce Hanratty is a Bernards High School freshman who stands out for all the right reasons, with modesty and kindness. One of Tyce’s main qualities, that sets him apart, is his willingness to help others. Tyce is always looking to lend a helping hand and he stands out by consistently offering guidance to his peers, all while being extremely kind in his approach. Many teachers report that he is the first person to step up to assist when someone may be struggling or having a rough day, either in the classroom or on the athletic field.
Tyce is extremely respectful and friendly to his fellow classmates and his teachers. He is unassuming in the way he quietly looks for ways to be there for others. It is often easy to overlook someone like Tyce because of his quiet and mild nature, but it would be a mistake to do so. He makes every space around him better, and exemplifies what it means to be a hero, each and every day. BHS is lucky to have him as part of their school community; Tyce really makes a difference in so many positive ways.
